“The Dashboard” Shows .ORG Registrations Grew 11% in the First Half of 2009 RESTON, VA–(Marketwire – October 06, 2009) – .ORG, The Public Interest Registry (www.pir.org) announces today the release of their first bi-annual domain name report, “The Dashboard.” Among other industry data, “The Dashboard” reveals that registrations for .ORG grew 11%, up to 7.69 million total registrations in the first half of 2009, compared to a year ago. This is significant since the growth rate outpaces other well known Top Level Domains (TLDs) such as .com and .net in a year otherwise marked by economic downturn.
