.ORG, The Public Interest Registry to Complete Its Final Step of DNSSEC Deployment by June 30, 2010 RESTON, VA–(Marketwire – March 11, 2010) –  .ORG, The Public Interest Registry (PIR) today announced plans to complete the final step to realizing full DNSSEC deployment in the .ORG registry by accepting second level signed .ORG zones beginning in June of 2010. This positions .ORG as the first generic top-level domain (TLD) to offer full DNSSEC deployment. All registrars can now plan to offer an additional security service to their customers. Key Findings Show That .ORG Registrations in 2009 Grew 8.4 Percent Over Previous Year. RESTON, VA–(Marketwire – February 18, 2010) –  .ORG, The Public Interest Registry today released the results of its second bi-annual domain name report, “The Dashboard,” illustrating the continued growth of the world’s third largest generic Top Level Domain (gTLD) since the first half of 2009. Overall, the number of new .ORG domain registrations rose by a healthy 14 percent, while its number of domains under registration grew by 3.5 percent from July to December 2009. DNSSEC Industry Coalition Symposium is Announced

Issues and Proposed Solutions for DNSSEC Deployment and Signing the Root Will Be Discussed  Reston, VA- May 21, 2009 – The DNSSEC Industry Coalition Symposium is announced today in collaboration with Google, Nominum, Inc. and the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) and will be held June 11-12, 2009, in Washington, DC. The purpose will be to discuss and identify potential and perceived issues with the Domain Name System (DNS) and DNSSEC deployment due to signing the DNS root zone. During the first part of the symposium, participants will present issues along with any proposed solutions. During the second part, recommended solutions or next steps for reaching solutions will be discussed.
