Alexa Raad Is Named as One of 2008’s Women Who Mean Business
RESTON, VA– November 21, 2008 – Alexa Raad, CEO of .ORG, The Public Interest Registry, has been chosen as one of the leading women in Washington business by The Washington Business Journal’s fifth-annual Women Who Mean Business Awards. The Awards set out to recognize women across all industries and professions, and of all ages, who have demonstrated their drive and innovative spirit both around their work and in their communities.
Under Alexa’s leadership, .ORG, The Public Interest Registry, who manages and oversees the .ORG Top-Level domain, reached over 7 million global domain registrations. .ORG is the third largest generic Top-Level domain following .COM and .NET, and has continued to grow consistently since PIR took over its management in 2003.
