Feature: Tom Steinmetz, Executive Director of Healthy Community Initiative (HCI)
Healthy Community Initiative (HCI) believes that every young person deserves the opportunity to thrive. For more than 30 years, the Minnesota-based nonprofit has brought together schools, families, nonprofits, and community leaders to improve health, education, and career outcomes for children and youth across Rice County.
Under the leadership of Executive Director Tom Steinmetz, HCI has built a collaborative model that listens first, responds to community needs, and creates lasting opportunities through programs like ParentChild+, TORCH, RISE, and Youth on Boards. By connecting young people with the resources, relationships, and leadership opportunities they need, HCI is helping shape stronger communities for generations to come.
Tune into this Spotlight Session featuring Tom Steinmetz to learn how Healthy Community Initiative is transforming communities by investing in young people and empowering them to become leaders in the places they call home.
