As we hang our wintery wreaths and dust off our ornaments, we know the holiday season has begun. As many begin to spread cheer through holiday and end-of-year giving, we’re excited to announce our second annual #ImpactOfADonation contest, calling all US-based nonprofit organisations to participate!
Participate in what, some may ask? Public Interest Registry and OnGood are partnering with #GivingTuesday to launch #ImpactOfADonation, a social contest to connect NGOs with donors by illustrating the impact a donation has on your organization. Whether we inspire donors to volunteer their time or offer a monetary donation, it is our mission to give NGOs a platform to celebrate and demonstrate their mission and philanthropic efforts.
According to the National Center for Charitable Statistics, more than 1.5 million nonprofit organisations are registered in the United States, forcing NGOs to compete for donor attention within an increasingly crowded space.
From now until Tuesday, December 6, 2016, we’re kicking off the charitable season by encouraging US-based NGOs to actively participate in the contest for a chance to win a donation from Public Interest Registry.
So, How Can I Participate in the Contest?
To enter your nonprofit organisation in the #ImpactOfADonation contest, you must share creative photos via Twitter and Instagram showcasing the impact monetary donations have on your organization – no matter how big or small. We want to see first-hand how donations enable your organisation to better serve your constituents and communities – so let’s see what you’ve got!
To ensure your photo submissions are received and included in the judging process, you must use the #ImpactOfADonation hashtag and tag Public Interest Registry’s Instagram and/or Twitter (both @PIRegistry and @OnGood) on all submissions.
Remember to think BIG and be creative, as you will be judged on how compelling, creative and how representative of your work the entries are.
As for the prize, the winning NGO will be awarded with a $2,000 donation to their organisation. This year, we will also be awarding two runner-up entrants with a prize donation of $500 each.
All entries will be accepted from Wednesday, November 29, 2016 at 12:00 a.m. EST until Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at 11:59 p.m. EST, and winners will shortly thereafter be notified by Thursday, December 15, 2016. Open to legal US residents, and US-based nonprofits and NGOs.
