2019 Annual Report Released
Public Interest Registry (PIR) has published its 2019 Annual Report. As detailed in the Report, 2019 was another milestone year—both for the organization and for .ORG, the industry’s leading purpose-driven domain.
We take great pride in reporting that once again we exceeded our goals for the year. The Report highlights strong financial results based on quality .ORG registrations and industry leading renewal rates. These volumes were driven in no small part by our Quality Performance Index, an initiative that was created to enhance the quality of the .ORG namespace. The Report also describes the principles behind our robust anti-abuse efforts, and provides domain take down statistics that demonstrate our commitment to responsibly protect the .ORG Community.
We further highlight notable education and outreach projects that show how our commitment to the .ORG Community goes well beyond domain management and provides .ORGs with the tools, knowledge, and support they need to achieve their missions while leveraging technology to make the world a better place.
Finally, we show how annual survey results reveal significant improvements to organizational culture.
