You Showed Us the #ImpactOfADonation…Now Announcing the Winner!

When we launched our #ImpactOfADonation contest three weeks ago, we had no idea the amount of excitement it would generate. In honor of Giving Tuesday, we encouraged nonprofits across the country to submit their most creative and compelling images showing how they make a difference with the donations they receive, and we have seen some truly inspiring pictures and videos.

While it was difficult to only select one winner, Public Interest Registry is delighted to announce IMAHelps as the winner of our inaugural #ImpactOfADonation contest!

With this campaign we wanted to help donors truly understand the meaning of “every dollar counts.” As the winner of the #ImpactOfADonation contest, IMAHelps will receive a $3,000 donation from Public Interest Registry to help the organization further its mission and continue providing medical and dental care to those in need, that do not have sufficient funds to pay for it themselves.

Since its founding in 2000, IMAHelps has provided life changing surgeries as well as medical and dental care to more than 90,000 impoverished patients in some of the poorest communities of Central and South America. With more than 100 volunteers from California and across the country, IMAHelps typically treats more than 5,000 patients on each weeklong medical mission.

“We are so grateful to have been selected to win the #ImpactOfADonation contest. Our next mission is scheduled for July in Matagalpa, Nicaragua, and since our volunteers pay for their own travel, food and accommodations, this donation will help us purchase the medicine and supplies we’ll need,” said IMAHelps founder Ines Allen.

Public Interest Registry would also like to highlight the amazing entries from the honorable mention organizations, Kidz Showing Kindness and Manos.  Take a look at their inspiring submissions here:

Thank you to all of the nonprofits that participated in this contest – it is amazing to see all of the great work you are doing for your communities!
