Public Interest Registry is a global nonprofit organization created by the Internet Society to be an exemplary registry with responsibility for operating the .org Top Level Domain (TLD), one of the original three TLDs. As an advocate for collaboration, safety and security on the Internet, Public Interest Registry’s mission is to empower the global noncommercial community to use the Internet more effectively, and to participate with other Internet stakeholders on policy and other issues related to the registry’s role within the domain name system.

Chief Technology Officer – We are seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to develop, socialize and implement overall technology strategy, and to advise the CEO and Board on future technology development. Reporting to the CEO, the CTO will be the principal technologist within Public Interest Registry, and lead teams responsible for IT services, Information Security, Business Intelligence, software development and technical research. The CTO must be up to date with developments in technical research and standards development organizations, ensure that that Public Interest Registry is at the forefront of best practice technology within the domain name industry, and actively engage in the broader internet industry where required. Director, Information Security – The Director, Information Security provides leadership, direction, and oversight of the company’s systems and data security strategy.  This role will ensure business requirements and security technologies are aligned to protect the mission critical business applications, systems, networks and infrastructure from threats and data loss, and manages ongoing activities to preserve the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of organization information resources in compliance with applicable security policies and standards.  Apply here

Developer – The position is responsible for agile development projects and enhancements to our existing sales platform via Salesforce.com, as well as other custom applications, including PIR’s customer portal and workflow management system.   This position is primarily a development position focused on new features and enhanced functionality, but will require some administration and high-level support as well.  Apply here
