Comic Con
Comic-Con International is a nonprofit educational organization dedicated to creating awareness of, and appreciation for, comics. Comic-Con International 2010 is held in San Diego on July 22-25.
Comic-Con also showcases popular art forms, primarily through the presentation of conventions and events that celebrate the historic and ongoing contribution of comics to art and culture.
The convention is the largest in the Western Hemisphere, and second largest in the World after Angoulême International Comics Festival in France, filling to capacity the San Diego Convention Center with over 125,000 attendees
