As senior marketing communications manager, Thuy took over marketing communications and web development for PIR in 2009. At PIR, Thuy implemented a communications strategy that included a stronger social media presence, more relevant blogging, consistent messaging for the .ORG brand, and establishing solid relationships with journalists. As the result, media impressions grew over 300% since 2009. Thuy is also very active in the Internet marketing community, recently speaking at the Internet Summit on “How to Improve Online Reputation.” He also regularly attends the International Crisis and Risk Communication Conference, typically speaking about how to effectively use the web during times of crisis.
Prior to PIR, he handled product marketing and marketing communications for a high-end business printer manufacturer. Thuy has also been developing web content management system and search technologies for over ten years. With his unique background in both marketing and technical development, he brings creative ways to best utilize new technology to create effective marketing communications in today’s fast-paced environment.
