PIR Launches WhyIChose.ORG Campaign
What’s in a name? When it comes to online branding, we, at .ORG, The Public Interest Registry, pride ourselves on educating registrars and end-users about the value of domain names. That’s why .ORG is excited to kick-off WhyIChose.ORG, a campaign that explores this question and more. Our overall goal? To illustrate the importance of the domain you choose and how this decision can make a true impact on brand impressions.
In addition to launching the WhyIChose.ORG web site (which in itself includes interactive quizzes, myth-busters and case studies), we’ve also partnered with renowned marketing expert and New York Times Best-Seller, David Meerman Scott, author of The New Rules of Marketing & PR. Mr. Scott is a huge advocate for the .ORG brand, going so far as to highlight the importance .ORG has on online marketing in his new book, Real-Time Marketing and PR: “In the always-on, real-time, social media enabled world of the Web, a .ORG site is an ideal way for organizations of all kinds to communicate quickly, accurately, and with a high degree of transparency. Because .ORG has an inherent reputation of trust, integrity, and credibility, the information is deemed highly valuable.”
So whether you are the proud owner of a .ORG domain, a marketing professional looking for boost his or her online branding, or an individual trying to figure out which domain to choose, WhyIChose.ORG will not only answer your questions but also show you how a domain name is so much more than just a URL.
