The .ORG Community - Continuing to Lead the Way

 NPR’s recently launched iPhone app is being hailed as the most robust news app currently out there, beating out the others, such as AP Mobile, particularly because of its ability to link the user to over 1000 live NPR stations (even allowing you to search for your closest regional affiliate by GPS!) and offering the ability to listen to live streams, anywhere, anytime.

The large archive of past and present podcasts available to the user is also a key value-add to this new addition to the iPhone App store.

NPR, as a thriving news organization amidst economic turmoil, is also a member of the .ORG community and a multi Webby Award winner (winning in 5 different categories in 2009!). Through all of these achievements, NPR continues to be a valuable asset to the .ORG community and the world at large. Congrats to NPR on a fantastic and innovative app, and we’re excited to see a great .ORG continue to succeed in the mobile arena!
